Start area: Adjacent to the southern pedestrian bridge to Austin Park.
Finish Line: Located on baseball field adjacent to the Austin Park Pavilion on Jordan Street.

Race Day Registration:
Same day registration starting at 2:30 PM

Race Description: The Skaneateles 5K Road Race starts on State Street at Austin Park and goes off just minutes before the Labor Day Parade. Runners pass cheering crowds as they run the parade route downhill on State Street, right on Genesee Street, and then right on Jordan Street. The run course proceeds uphill on Jordan Street, past the Firemen's Field Days and then turns right onto Butters Farm Lane. After running up the hill runners turn right and go off-road through the Vargason Nature Trail. Runners exit the Nature Trail into the parking lot of the YMCA, turn right and go around the YMCA building. The course then goes onto the paved loop clockwise around upper Austin Park. Runners will turn onto the grass adjacent to the tennis courts, run along the fence line before running the perimeter of the athletic fields, finishing at the baseball field back at the Firemen's Field Days.

Runners register and get timing chips at the north end of Allyn Arena in Austin Park near the baseball field off Jordan Street. Please give yourself 10 minutes to get your chip and walk up the hill across the Park to the starting line on State Street! There will be an aide station on Jordan Road just past the one-mile mark and another in Upper Austin Park. Participants must be 11 years of age as of 12/31/2014.

Race Packet Pick-up: NEW! Participants may pick up their Race Packet on Thursday, August 28th from noon - 7:00pm at Syracuse Bicycle! Also from 1:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Skaneateles Community Center or 2:30pm on Race Day at Firemen's Field Days at the north end of Allyn Arena. Registrations will also be accepted during these times. Race participants are responsible for picking up their own Race Packets — no exceptions please.

Course Map: Run Route (Course subject to change) Due to conditions of the race course, no strollers are allowed.

Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. Age Group Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each category. You must be present to receive your awards. Awards cannot be sent to you – sorry.

Goodie Bags will be given to all participants including T-shirt and other items from our Sponsors.

Refund Policy
Due to the charitable nature of the event, we are unable to offer cash refunds. No registration transfers or deferrals for any reason are possible this year because this is the final year of Skaneateles Labor Day Race Weekend. If you must withdraw for any reason your entry fee will be considered a donation. We will provide you with a Donation Verification Letter if we receive your request in writing prior to August 30, 2014.
