Last Chance to be a SkinnyMan!

Race Description:
Limited to 600 registrants, including "I'm All That" registrants, the Skinnyman Triathlon promises to draw some of the area’s best athletes as well as provide an opportunity for the beginning triathlete to “get their feet wet” and experience the excitement of this multi-sport event! This year's Skinnyman Triathlon will have a wave start, grouped by age group. Wave assignment will be determined by final race numbers and distribution of age group athletes.  Participants must be 15 years of age as of 12/31/2014.

Race Packet Pick-up: All Skinnyman participants are strongly encouraged to pick up their Race Packet on Thursday, August 28th from noon - 7:00pm at Syracuse Bicycle or from 1:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Skaneateles Community Center. Race Packet Pick-up will also be available 5:30am – 7:00am on Race Day at the Clift Park Registration Tent. Race participants are responsible for picking up their own Race Packets—No exceptions please.

Transition: The transition area will open on Saturday at 5:30am and close at 7:00am. Please arrive in time to pick up your chip, get body marked and find your way into transition before it closes!
NEW THIS YEAR: Transition will be set up according to cap color. Your wave determines your cap color and this will determine which set of bike racks you may choose from in transition. Volunteers will be available in the park to assist you. More information on waves, etc. will be available at Packet Pickup.

(*Courses subject to change based on road conditions and seasonal construction.)

Also note:   Swim Waves will be by age groups and wave assignments will be announced closer to race date. There will be no Novice Swim Wave.  You can choose to start your swim behind your age group to avoid congestion, but know that your official race time will start with your assigned age group's start time.

It is anticipated that participants, (even first timers), will have trained sufficiently for this event, and as such, will be able to satisfy time restrictions for completing segments of the course.  These time restrictions are necessary to comply with traffic/law enforcement/safety issues and time issues pertaining to the use of the park.

There will be time restrictions for two legs of the event:  The Race Committee reserves the right to not allow an athlete to continue if they have a swim longer than 35 minutes from their wave start, (70 minute mile pace), or total swim-bike of 2:15.  If you exceed these times you may not be allowed on the run course.

Due to weather, an athletes perceived condition at any moment during the race, construction, traffic and safety issues, the Race Directors and Medical Staff reserve the right to not allow an athlete to continue onto the next leg of the event.

Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers and the first place male, female and coed teams. Age Group Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each category. You must be present to receive your awards. Awards cannot be sent to you – sorry.

Goodie Bags will be given to all participants and include T-shirt, latex swim caps and other items from our sponsors.
