The Skaneateles Labor Day Race Weekend’s 5th Annual MiniSkinny Youth Race Events will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Skaneateles YMCA Community Center. This is NOT a timed event. It is an opportunity for your young athlete to participate in an enjoyable life-experience through athletics. It is not structured as a highly competitive event. Rather, the objective is to encourage self-confidence, good health and community spirit through participation.

Race Descriptions:

MiniSkinny/Dash: There is no fee to participate and no pre-registration required. Parents will have to sign a Dash waiver/registration form on race day. There is no limit to the number of racers. The Dash is not a USAT sanctioned event.

MiniSkinny/Youth Triathlon: Limited to 96 participants, divided between two age groups. Online registrations via score-this.com, will be accepted until 11:59 pm on Monday, August 25, 2014. The online entry fee is $20 for USAT Youth Members. The online entry fee is $25 for non-USAT Youth Members, which includes a one day USAT Event Fee required for insurance. If the event has not reached its capacity of 48 athletes per age group, registrations will be accepted at Skaneateles YMCA and Community Center on Friday, August 29, between 4:00 and 7:00 pm. Entry fee on August 29, 2014 is $25 for all racers.

Race Packet Pick-up:

Race Packets will be distributed on race day prior to the start.

We encourage all parents/guardians and athletes to attend our pre-event orientation session. The session will be held just outside the main pool entrance, in the lobby of the Skaneateles Community Center, at 5:45 pm on Friday, August 29th.

A MiniSkinny representative will discuss race procedures, policies, and safety guidelines. Any questions parents or participants may have will be answered during this session. We anticipate the session should last no more than 15 minutes.

Refund Policy
Due to the charitable nature of the event, we are unable to offer cash refunds. No registration transfers or deferrals for any reason are possible this year because this is the final year of Skaneateles Labor Day Race Weekend. If you must withdraw for any reason your entry fee will be considered a donation. We will provide you with a Donation Verification Letter if we receive your request in writing prior to August 30, 2014.
